Las Vegas Raiders Mock Draft
National Football League Mock Draft • 2026 Season
Las Vegas Raiders Draft Analysis
After a 3-14 season and a complete organizational overhaul, the Raiders hold the No. 1 pick and the selection has felt locked in for months: Fernando Mendoza. The Indiana quarterback won the 2025 Heisman Trophy and led the Hoosiers to a perfect 16-0 national championship season, completing 72 percent of his passes for 3,535 yards with 41 touchdowns and just six interceptions. At 6-foot-5 and 236 pounds, Mendoza's size, pocket composure, and arm talent have drawn comparisons to Matt Ryan. Head coach Klint Kubiak's system demands a quarterback who can work inside and outside the pocket with precision timing, and Mendoza fits that mold exactly. The Raiders traded Geno Smith to the Jets and signed veteran Kirk Cousins to mentor the rookie, removing any pressure to start him from Day 1.
Las Vegas has been aggressive in building around their future franchise quarterback. The front office signed three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum to an $81 million deal, the richest ever for a center, and added receiver Jalen Nailor in free agency. Maxx Crosby remains the defensive anchor after the Ravens backed out of a blockbuster trade. With 10 total picks including No. 36 in the second round, the Raiders are expected to target interior defensive line help, with Georgia's Christen Miller emerging as a top Day 2 target after meeting with the team. A receiver like Germie Bernard from Alabama or Indiana's Denzel Boston could also be in play to complement Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty. For a franchise that hasn't drafted a first-round quarterback since JaMarcus Russell in 2007, Mendoza represents the reset this organization desperately needed.
